Looking for the Best Place to Stay While on Vacation in the Maldives? Then Look No Further Than Joali.
The Maldives is an idyllic vacation hotspot on everyone’s radar, especially thanks to those iconic Instagram drone shots. And it’s easy to see why! With lush jungle canopies, vibrant eco-activities, and the turquoise sparkle of the Arabian Sea illuminated by the Maldivian sunset, Maldives ticks all the boxes of an iconic island getaway.
And it just so happens to be one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. Of the 22 countries I visited this year, here’s why Joali was my favorite accommodation and easily the best place to stay in the Maldives.
At Joali, you can leave your worries behind, let time slow down and ease your way into full relaxation.
Pristine and Picturesque Grounds
Stepping onto the grounds at Jaoli is a jaw-dropping experience. Everything is so modern and pristine.
The lavish quarters feature a beautiful garden and sweeping ocean views. One of my favorite things to do was just sit and look out at the ocean because it truly is so peaceful.
What makes Jaoli so special is that it feels brand new; it has the quality of a big city but is set on an intimate remote island. The entire grounds of the resort are clean and well-manicured, and if you want to nuzzle up to a good book with an ocean view, there are books scattered throughout the resort for your leisure.
Even though there is wild terrain all around, there were no pesky bugs or crawlers which can really interrupt relaxation mode.
Joali’s Island Activities
This is an island paradise, so naturally, there are countless activities– from water sports to wellness and adventure activities.
Explore the Island by Bike
One of my favorite ways to explore is by bicycle. It’s such a fun way to get outside and take in the scenery. So, naturally, I hopped on a bike at Joali and rode around enjoying the views and stunning landscapes.
There are many fun water activities, but if you want to see the fish without snorkeling, Joali has the perfect solution: a submarine with views of the vivid emerald waters and a rainbow of coral and fish.
Go on exciting excursions to explore the local waters, and islands and deepen your perspective on life in the Maldives.
Joali is a plastic-free resort, and one of the best activities they offer is for guests to help with reef restoration. It’s clear that the Maldives is idyllic, but Joali is taking the extra step to protect and restore the natural ecosystem.
One thing that sets Joali apart is the wellness experience. The famous Espa Spa is literally the best spa experience. I received a massage foot bath and massage in a comfortable mechanical chair with a warm neck pillow, and it was the attention to detail that really made my experience luxurious and flawless. Now did my treatment and I left feeling so relaxed and rejuvenated, my anxiety melted away and I truly savored the moment.
Staying at Joali is like staying in a little village with plenty of delicious restaurant options nearby. There are so many savory scents and cuisines to choose from, each offering its own unique and refreshing menu. Joali has a thriving culinary arts scene, and I personally loved Saoke Japanese restaurant because the food was amazing and they catered to my gluten-free needs.
Joali Delivers on Luxury
There’s a reason why of all the places I’ve stayed at this year, Joali is the most memorable. While other resorts claim to be luxury only to underdeliver with pricey activities, Joali delivers on luxury. But the experience is so much more than just a luxury getaway.
Joali is a place to fully unplug, rejuvenate and bask in the glorious ambiance of the Maldives. Every detail is carefully addressed for guest comfort. There is a state-of-the-art gym, the WiFi is amazing, and 10% service is included so you don’t have to worry about knowing when to tip. The entire grounds are pristine and clean, and the activities create a memorable experience unlike any other.
Joali is the best place to stay in the Maldives for an effortless, exotic, and relaxing vacation. After your trip, you’ll feel reinvigorated with an appreciation for the simple and profound art of relaxation.
