Location: Cabrillo National Monument
Went back to my old stomping grounds of San Diego, CA (where I grew up). I lived in San Diego since about 6 years old through college. Before then I lived in England for the first portion of my life (my parents are British) but am so very glad they decided to move to America and call California home. 🌊☀ï¸
Exploring the tide pools. There are so many cute crabs all around the tide pools, thousands. I suggest bringing your bathing suit and some water shoes (so you don’t hurt your feet on the rocks while exploring) and getting into the water for a better look 👀🦀.
There are hills, stairs, and climbs. This location is awesome for a simple day hike as well. A great place to get some exercise and bask in the breathtaking views.
The monument reservation area is $10 to visit but well worth it as you get to see the tide pools, the Cabrillo National Monument, the Lighthouse, and stunning views from the pacific to the memorizing downtown San Diego skyline, and even all the way to Mexico.
