Barclay Stenner Safaris in Botswana, Africa

First off let’s start by saying that this was hands down the best trip of my life. I decided to jump on a plane and safari with Barclay Stenner Safaris. If you haven’t heard of them, definitely check them out. They arranged for Taylor Swift’s music video “Wildest Dreams” to be filmed out in the middle of Africa.

Mornings in the Okavango Delta. Started my mornings with tea and gorgeous sunrises.

Mornings in the Okavango Delta. Started each morning with tea and incredible sunrises.

Loved my tent. It was set up so cute. The ideal safari tent. I loved the map of Africa above my bed, such a perfect touch. The tent had places to put your clothes and personal items, a little vanity, charging station for mobile phones, lanterns and it’s own bathroom. The bathroom had a shower and it’s own flushing toilet. If you wanted to take a shower, water would be heated up and brought over to the shower.

Headed to breakfast after tea. I mentioned to Barclay Stenner Safaris that my lifestyle was mainly vegan and that I try to avoid caffeine, and they accommodated me so well. They are truly bespoke and cater to every need. They presented different types of awesome caffeine free teas, and the food was incredible. There was a Barclay Stenner chef on safari with us and he just makes the best meals – 5 star restaurant quality.

We would get into the safari car early every morning to start the search for animals in the delta…

John and James were the best at spotting animals. They found a lion based on just seeing ONE paw print in the road! We felt so honored being out with them and being a part of their group.

One of the most incredible things about Barclay Stenner is how bespoke they are. I mentioned wanting to do something to give back while in Botswana and they set up a special trip to Khwai for our group to bring school supplies and coloring books to to children. This was one of the absolute best days of the trip and I am so grateful to them for going out of their way to do this.

Here are some of the photos from the visit…

My trip to Africa with Barclay Stenner was the best trip of my life. I feel everyone needs to visit Africa, it is truly life changing. Botswana is such a beautiful country and the time spent in the Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve I will treasure for a lifetime. I feel there are few untouched beautiful places in this world, and this and place is definitely one of them. They hold the largest population of African elephants on earth, just as one example. The scenery is so picturesque. Every photo is epic, this place truly is a heaven on earth.

Thank you to Barclay Stenner, Brandon, and Amanda for making everything so special.
