A Day Trip to San Francisco, California

Location: San Francisco, California

Flew to San Fran for the day and had a great time in this unique city. First stop was the famous “Painted Ladies.”

“Painted ladies” is a term in American architecture used for Victorian and Edwardian houses and buildings painted in three or more colors that embellish or enhance their architectural details.

Found the perfect spot to view the Golden Gate Bridge. The Golden Gate Scenic Overlook at Presidio National Park. Lincoln Blvd & Merchant Rd (Presidio of San Francisco), San Francisco, CA 94129.

Cable car on the way to Fisherman’s wharf. There’s so many cool piers and oceanfront stops to see the bay, bridges, and Alcatraz.

Arrived at Fisherman’s Wharf. One of the must-dos on my list. Was fun walking around here as there are lots of people and restaurants and everything is super scenic.

Walking through the little marketplace of grab and go seafood and other snacks and treats.

Found a fun little arcade. It’s a museum of coin operated arcade games of years past. It is called Musée Mécanique and hosts so many neat and antique arcade machines. Their website is www.museemecaniquesf.com and it’s a cool spot to visit while on the wharf.

Views of Alcatraz from just outside of the arcade. Alcatraz is a former prison that now hosts visits and tours. I have yet to go visit it and can’t wait to do so. Find more information on Alcatraz Island on their official website here.

A sightseeing boat docked in Fisherman’s Wharf.

Finished exploring for the day and en route back to Los Angeles. Can’t wait to visit San Francisco again! 🛫
A big thank you to Jetsmarter for the ride up to San Francisco and also thank you to Brandon Sloter for the great photos.
Love you guys and stay tuned for more blogs xo 💕
